THE THREE BASIC TYPES OF ILLUMINATED CHANNEL LETTERS: STANDARD REVERSE OPEN FACED |
Reverse Channel Letters The face of a reverse channel letter is aluminum and the back is made of clear lexan. The letter is typically mounted 1-1/2" to 2" off the mounting surface which allows the neon within to cast a soft outline glow on the wall behind it. This is ideal for situations where a softer, more subdued lighting effect is desired. |
In the first example the aluminum face and returns are painted blue and the neon providing the light is white. By simply reversing the color, as in the second example, an entirely different look can be achieved. |
