  Channel Letter Signs
Each letter of a typical channel letter sign is a separate unit that is individually illuminated. The letter's aluminum sides, commonly referred to as "returns", form a 5" deep channel that house the neon tubes that illuminate it. There are three basic types of illuminated channel letters - Standard, Reverse, and Open.
Monument Signs
Monument signs are ideal for streetside identification and are most often used at the main entrance of a business. Depending on surrounding visibility considerations, they can be designed with either a low or high profile. And because their tenant name spaces can be made to be changeable, they are well suited for businesses like commercial strip malls where you have tenants moving in and out.
Pylon Signs
Pylon signs are a very cost effective method for getting a large, illuminated message to an ideal elevated level. Once that "ideal" level is determined, it is simply a matter of designing a support structure of the appropriate length. This type of sign works well where traffic speeds are high because they can be designed to be readable at much greater distances.
Wall Cabinet Signs
A wall cabinet sign allows for a slightly different look than what is typically achievable with a channel letter. The background can be an element that illuminates, and the copy can be either translucent (lighted) or opaque (non- lighted). It is also an excellent alternative when small letter size makes the use of channel letters impossible.
Awning Signs
Awning signs are made by taking a translucent flexible fabric, printing a corporate identity on it's surface, and then stretching and attaching the fabric to an aluminum framework. Illumination is provided by fluorescent lamps installed behind the fabric.
Exposed Neon Signs
Neon can be installed without the use of faces, returns, or backs. When used in this fashion, it is refered to as "exposed neon". It can make up an entire sign like the one shown at left, or elements of it, like accents or borders, can be used in conjunction with other sign types to add flair. The use of exposed neon can significantly broaden the creative design possibilities of any sign project.
